I'M BACK!

I actually returned home at the same time the rest of the attendees did, but then I took a flight to Chile 3 days later, and am just now updating my site. My blog is still stuck on Day 2 of the Creators Camp. I have so much more to post, so many pictures, a lot of really fun video that needs digitizing, shot at the after-party at the Sofitel, our last Friday night there. I scored an impromptu "exclusive" Mojito-inspired interview with Mark from SimVip, that I'm excited about posting in the next week or so. Plus, it's just fun to see everyone letting loose, while I'm there filming the entire scene! So stay tuned for that.

I had a terrific time, I am looking forward to working with Sims 3 machinima in June, and I made some great friends while out there. It was so surreal to meet all these people whose creations I've used in my videos for years!

You can check my CJ Blog for more on the Camp. I will be updating with more pictures and video, soon. My audio lab series seems to be a hit. If I'd have known it was going to be posted on so many sites, I'd definitely have used something better than a Canon Powershot to film it!

When I first received the invitation in my inbox at YouTube, I thought it was a joke. But I took the chance, and now I am so honored to have been invited to this event. I would love the opportunity to work with everyone, again.

Since the last update, I'm excited to announce that both Super Star and Only Time have both been featured on Sims2.com!

Good grief, could I have waited any longer to update this site?? I've got a bit of work to do...

Since the last update, I did a few new videos. "Only Time", by Enya, won best film of May 2008 on Sims 99. Woot! But too late to carry on about that... I also did a quick video called "May the Best Man Win", which was done as a blog entry for Shep's blog on Sims99. I will update the CJ Cinema Page with all this. I will also add a button for Shep's blog...er...sometime.

The most exciting news is the release of Super Star, a collaboration video I did with Mr. Shy for his song of the same name. It is the Juan Belmonte remix, and was a lot of fun, and hard work, to do. Took a month of actual production, and another several weeks of the gerbil wheel spinning in my head, trying to come up with a concept for the video. I ended up pretty much winging it.

Super Star is a real-life-meets-Sims 2-life video, with Mr. Shy interacting with the Bogus crew. This was not easy to pull off. But I think we did a great job, and I'm very proud of the finished product.

And, finally, I had pizza for dinner and I'm stuffed.

Okay, so it's taken me a little bit longer than I'd anticipated just to get the template for the home page sorted out. I owe a big thank you to CJ member SinFully Liz for helping me out with the style sheet. I owe another big thank you to Excedrin Migraine for helping me out with the splitting headache I have developed over the last 24 hours. I do have working links for a few of the shiny, new buttons you see above, and I'm about to get down and dirty with the rest of the CuppaJoe Productions pages. I definitely have my work cut out for me.

Welcome to the new CuppaJoe Productions, formerly "A Cuppa Joe"! I am revamping the site to focus more on my videos, but all your favorite pages will return in the coming days. Joe has pen in hand, ready to take on more questions from the lovelorn, as well as the love-obsessed! He's just waiting on me to get the style sheets in order.

Don't worry, it may look quite different, but this is still the same great site, with the same great attitude. CuppaJoe Productions is still the Sims 2 Site where you don't have to play the game to enjoy it!
